Locname Term , Corpus , Terminology , Team events , Publications. New developments , Technical developments , Research 12 DECEMBER 2022 We’ve had a busy, enjoyable year here in the Wisdom offices. A few new pieces of work were firmly establish and the research presente to the public in various ways. We took the opportunity, after years of strict lockdown, to go out into life. Again and be among the Irish-speaking community. Not only that, but a few very nice things happend. For example, in May, Dr. Gearóid Ó Clercín, Gaois’ quality manager. Was awarde the DCU President’s impact awar.

The prize was recognition of the terminological Ecuador Phone Number List work of Gaois, Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge over. The past 20+ years on Téarma, LEX and Terminologue projects. We particularly enjoyd the Lognaming Workshop held here on the All Saints Campus on 12-13 May, at which Minister Jack Chambers launchd a new version of the Logainm.ie website. A full report on that can be foun here . A great crowd gatherd and there was an excellent debate over the two days. We are very pleasd with the improvement in the data structure an layout of the site, the more comprehensive search results and the interactive maps used throughout the site.

In terms of terminology ,highlight of the B2C Database year was the terminology symposium we held in April. We were delightd to welcome a great crowd of terminologists, translators, researchers and other visitors to the DCU campus to discuss various aspects of terminology. A workshop on Termin ologue was held as part of the same event and we continud the development and maintenance of that terminology management system of which a Lithuanian version was made available this year. We continue with the usual terminological work on the term project.
